Martin is an expert in creating powerful learning spaces and organizations that make learning an exciting entrepreneurial adventure, serving all involved, as well as society at large. He co-founded KaosPilots.NL (now Knowmads) – a learning lab for young entrepreneurial talents who want to make a positive difference in the world. He loves creating healthy learning cultures that help ‘draw out’ the genius in everyone, connecting to the original meaning of the latin ‘educare’.

In looking for powerful tools to help adolescents and young adults work with their big questions around identity and place in the world, Martin got inspired by the ways many cultures have helped their people move from one phase of life to another throughout the ages, especially using ceremonial retreats into nature. Over the past years, he has experimented with creating modern day ‘rites of passage’ in education.
