Phil is the Director of Creativity and Head of Human Technologies at International College Hong Kong, one of Cambridge University’s 100 most innovative schools worldwide. An enthusiastic ‘Gamestormer’, Phil lives for ‘Aha’ moments, lightbulbs and penny drops! He loves co-creativity and designs innovative tools, processes, games and experiences that help students, teachers and organizations spark creative thought. He’s a veteran of innovative curriculum design and a staunch opponent of ‘cookie-cutter’ education.
His Masters degree in Creative Thinking focussed on the design and evaluation of an analogue toolkit for creative planning in education and he has an ongoing fascination with the fabulously complex eco-system of creative thought and the factors that enhance or inhibit it. He is a certified facilitator in Lego ® Serious Play ® and ‘Thinking in & Out of the Box’.
Phil has partnered with MethodKit as well as the Hong Kong based co-creative community of practice ‘Brains on the Beach’, with a focus on using co-creation for social good. Phil has lived and worked in Prague, Istanbul, London, Singapore and Hong Kong
